Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda
October 4-7, 2017

The Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda (French for little Le Mans) is a sports car endurance race held annually at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, USA. It uses the rules established for the 24 hours of Le Mans by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), which are slightly modified if necessary, mainly to allow additional cars to compete.

The race was founded by Road Atlanta owner Don Panoz and first run on October 10, 1998 as part of the IMSA season. The 1999 edition was one of the original events of the American Le Mans Series.

For those of you planning in going to the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta this October, here is some pertinent information:

-- I will be on turn 10A/B on the outside reserved RV spot #7 for the entire time, 4-7 of October.

-- I will have a golf cart for travel around the track

-- There is not Mazda Corral, so parking will be hap hazard for you.  There will be no room to park in my reserved spot.

-- The price for Saturday alone is $65 if purchased in advance online, at RoadAmerica website.  It is slightly more after 29 Sept.

-- The main race, 10 hours or 1000 miles is in Saturday, starting at about 1100, but get there early to find a parking spot.

-- Parking costs about $50 if you choose to park inside the gate, free if you park outside and call me to pick you up in the golf cart.  678-591-4029 is my cell.

-- Various races go on starting Thursday if you are interested, the cost for a four day ticket is a bit more, see online.

-- Let me know if you plan on staying overnight.  I can accommodate three more couples if I have to in the RV.

-- It is quite an experience and very crowded Friday and Saturday!!!!!!!
