Mark your Calendars for the PMC Masters Ride and Anniversary Dinner on April 2 !
April 2 is the beginning of Masters Week leading up to the annual iconic golf event played at the famous Augusta course. Meanwhile, we will be celebrating the day riding and dining with all our PMC friends at the Masters Ride followed by our annual Anniversary Dinner.
The agenda for the event:
- Tee Time: Shotgun start at 1:00 PM Sharp
- First Tee: The Kroger Parking lot at Rtes 400 and 53
- Check in: Please arrive early- 12:30 latest for warmups and rules
- Greens fee: All players are encouraged to wear something “golf related” Hats, shirts, pants, shorts, snuggie. Not a requirement but it will be more fun. We may even give a prize for the best outfit.
- The Course: A scenic, relaxing, and fun ride west on 136 to Ellijay, and then up and over Fort Mtn and then south on 575 to Woodstock.
- Pace of Play: A leisurely pace to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Estimated total time to finish the round including breaks: 4 hours.
- 19th Hole: Eagle Watch Golf Clubhouse in Woodstock. Arrive around 5:00. We will have the entire upstairs area for dinner and fun.
- Mini Golf: After getting refreshed with adult beverages, we will have a fun and spirited Mini-golf team competition with prizes for the winning team. This will be a “best ball” format so don’t worry if you are not a golfer. I assume most have played miniature golf at some point in our lives…but don’t expect any windmills!
- Dinner: We will have our Anniversary Dinner at 6:30 in the Clubhouse. For those who can’t make the ride, please feel free to come and enjoy dinner with the group. Dinner will be a Buffet and include sliced prime rib, grilled chicken, two sides, salad, dinner rolls, soft drinks, brownies and cookies for dessert. A cash bar will be available for adult beverages.
- Cost: The cost per person would have been $20, but the Club received money from Mazda and we will use some of it to help pay for dinner. The Club will kick in $8.00 so the net cost per member will be $12.00!
Please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend the ride, dinner, or both! I need to advise Eagle Watch on how many to expect for dinner by March 23rd in order to avoid a lot of time collecting the day of the event. If you are sure that you are attending, please mail your Check to Hank Bayles, or bring it along to the next meeting on March 12th. Make your check out to PMC.
Thanks and we look forward to a good turnout for this fun day. Call or e-mail either Hank or myself with any questions.
